Extinctbook ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our app.

01 Information We Collect

Extinctbook collects information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, and phone number when you register. We also collect transaction data including amounts, categories, notes, and party details that you enter into the app. Usage data such as feature interactions and crash reports may be collected automatically to improve the app.

02 How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve the Extinctbook service, including syncing your transactions across devices, generating reports and exports, and sending important account notifications. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

03 Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Firebase (Google Cloud infrastructure) with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. A portion of your data is also cached locally on your device for offline access. You can clear this local cache at any time from Settings.

04 Third-Party Services

Extinctbook uses the following third-party services:

→ Firebase Authentication — secure sign-in
→ Firebase Firestore — cloud data storage
→ Google Cloud Platform — infrastructure

These services have their own privacy policies and may collect usage data in accordance with their terms.

05 Data Exports

When you export your data as PDF or CSV, the exported files are generated on your device and shared only through apps you choose (e.g. WhatsApp, email). Extinctbook does not receive or store these exported files.

06 Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can edit your profile information in Settings. To request full data deletion, sign out and contact us — we will delete your account and associated data within 30 days.

07 Children's Privacy

Extinctbook is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

08 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
